TNKR had a great time making a presentation to a group of Americans visiting South Korea.

TNKR Special Ambassador Scott Kim was the featured speaker.

The key things about his speech:

  • He spoke with no notes.
  • He told his story eloquently.
  • He can interact with audiences during Q&A.
  • He mixes humor in along with a serious story.

The audience absolutely loved him. He is at that level of interaction with audiences that separates him from people, refugees included, who can give a good speech but not interact later or respond to slight challenges and second-level questions.

After introducing Scott, I took my usual role–adding statistics, anecdotes and background when it was necessary.

After the event, the audience wanted to take photos with him. They also thanked us for our work with North Korean refugees.
